Painting Water, Waves and Light in acrylic with artist Melissa Wishart - Tuesday 23rd July 2024
In this workshop you will be exploring the sea’s different moods using various techniques to capture the nature of light and water. Some of the key elements of the morning sessions will be palette mixing, colour choice, mark-making and composition. You will be experimenting and using many different tools to explore ways of evoking the qualities of water and light from reference photos.
Melissa will guide you through a step by step paint along process, to produce an acrylic painting of the sea/coast of your choice or the same image Melissa works from. You’ll take home a fabulous completed seascape painting on an A3 panel.
Date - Tuesday 23rd July 2024
Location - All Saints Church Hall, Church Road, Winterbourne Down, Bristol, BS36 1BX.
Timings - 10am to 4pm
Ability - All abilities welcome including beginners.
Outline - An acrylic painting workshop for anyone who would like to be able to paint the sea and the light that falls on it. Melissa has a wonderful enthusiasm for painting so expect the day to be fun and explorative. She works in a loose style and gives all attendees lots of advice, guidance and support for you to get the most out of the workshop.

All materials included except for rags - please bring your own rags to use for the day. Old t-shirts make great rags. If not then old tea towels will do nicely!
