“Some years ago I took the plunge and left my salaried employment to become a self-employed artist. I didn’t want to have regrets in later life; better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all! I now divide my time between painting for Exhibitions, painting commissions and teaching. My preferred medium is pastel and I run workshops, courses and holidays in this medium as well as demonstrating to Art Groups. It gives me enormous pleasure to watch my students’ progress from tentative beginners to confident pastel artists. I was brought up in Wales and lived in rural Wiltshire for c30 years so it will come as no surprise that my favourite subject is British Wildlife.”
